It’s Wednesday morning and it’s already been a long week. You didn’t get enough sleep last night and a big project is due by Friday. Needless to say, you feel run-down.
And, unfortunately, the wrinkles under your eyes show it. But you don’t have to settle for these fine lines. There are ways to get rid of wrinkles under your eyes without resorting to expensive and painful medical procedures. (Expert tip: say goodbye to under-eye wrinkles for good with SiO Beauty's Super EyeLift patches!)
Here are the 7 best treatment options to help you restore your skin’s youthful tone and glow.
1. Tighten Skin With An Egg White Mask
Egg whites contain collagen and protein. The collagen helps fill in under-eye wrinkles, while the protein improves your skin’s elasticity. Egg whites also tighten skin and shrink pores, leaving your skin more radiant. To use egg whites to get rid of wrinkles under your eyes, follow this simple recipe.
- Separate two egg whites from the yolk.
- Whisk the egg whites together until frothy.
- Rub all of the egg white into the skin under your eyes using an upward motion.
- Allow the egg white to dry for 15 minutes.
- Remove egg white by rinsing with lukewarm water.
- Pat skin dry with a soft towel.
During this treatment, and after the egg white is removed, the skin under your eyes will feel tighter and more toned, thus reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
2. Massage Wrinkles With Rosemary Oil
Massaging wrinkled skin can help stimulate blood flow. This increased blood flow aids in removing dirt and free radicals from the skin which are a major cause of elastin and collagen breakdown. Plus, a massage just feels good and can help you relax after a long day.
But you shouldn’t massage skin without some type of lubricant. An excellent choice for a quick under-eye massage is rosemary oil. Rosemary oil helps tone skin and remove dryness while reducing the friction and pull that massage can cause.
To combine the benefits of massage and rosemary oil, dip your pointer and middle finger in a bowl of rosemary oil. Gently rub the oil from the inside corner of your eye near your nose to the outside of your eye near your temple. Then, rub back toward your nose. Now rub the skin of that same eye in an upward motion from near your nose to your temple and back again. That’s one repetition.
Dip your fingers in the oil again and repeat four more times. Then switch sides and massage the other eye in the same manner.
3. Wear Castor Oil At Night
Castor oil is a rich moisturizer that can work to get rid of wrinkles under your eyes while keeping the skin soft and supple. To get the benefits of castor oil all night long, simply dip your pointer finger in a dish of castor oil and apply one swipe of the oil under your eye from your nose to your temple.
While you sleep, the castor oil puts moisture into your skin while at the same time forming a barrier that keeps that moisture from evaporating.
4. Banish Under-Eye Wrinkles With Cucumber Puree
Cucumber, when applied topically, is an excellent way to put lots of moisture back into your skin. This moisture helps treat existing wrinkles and prevent new wrinkles from forming. That’s why cucumber slices are placed over your eyes when you go to a spa.
But you can get the same healing at home without having to pay for expensive facials. Plus, the treatment method we describe below gets more of the healing cucumber in contact with your skin than just placing a slice over your eye.
First, cut off ¼ of a cucumber and place it in a blender. Blend the cucumber until it’s slightly chunky. If you don’t have a blender, you can mash the cucumber with a fork. Apply the mash directly to the skin under your eyes and let sit for 15 minutes. Then, remove the cucumber puree with lukewarm water and pat yourself dry with a soft towel. For an added benefit, cool the cucumber in the refrigerator first to tighten the skin and shrink pores.
5. Get Rid Of Wrinkles Under Your Eyes With Avocado
Avocados are chock full of wrinkle-fighting ingredients that can help you get rid of those stubborn lines under your eyes. Avocado contains carotenoids which act as an antioxidant to get rid of damaging free radicals. Avocado also contains vitamin C and vitamin E—two well-known wrinkle fighters. As an added benefit, avocado also contains monounsaturated fatty acids that moisturize, soften, and hydrate damaged skin.
To harness the healing power of this fruit (yes, it’s a fruit), cut two small slices of avocado and press gently into the skin under your eyes for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, dispose of the slices and rinse the residue from under your eyes with lukewarm water.
To release even more of the oils and nutrients, mash two slices of avocado into a paste and apply to the skin under your eyes. Let sit for 15 minutes and then wash it away with lukewarm water.
6. Moisturize Deep Down With Warm Olive Oil
Olive oil holds the distinction of being both a moisturizer (adding moisture to the skin) and a humectant (keeping moisture in the skin where it belongs). That’s probably why it’s been used for centuries to keep skin healthy and youthful. You too can use olive oil to rejuvenate skin and get rid of wrinkles under your eyes.
Simply warm two teaspoons of olive oil on the stove or in a microwave. The warmth of the oil helps it to penetrate to lower levels of skin where it can help restore your skin’s collagen and elastin.
Massage this warm oil into the skin under your eyes for five minutes. Then leave the oil on your skin for an additional 10 minutes to allow the nutrients to absorb into your skin. You can then choose to wash the olive oil off or leave it on. Olive oil is safe enough to leave on your skin all day or all night.
7. Nourish Skin And Increase Blood Flow With Ginger & Honey
Like olive oil, honey is a natural moisturizer and humectant. That makes it a powerful wrinkle fighter that should be part of your daily beauty routine. Ginger has long been known to increase blood flow. When applied directly to the skin, it brings cleansing blood directly to the area when it can do the most good. Used together, honey and ginger make for a great wrinkle-fighting solution.
To reap the benefits of honey and ginger together, mix 1 teaspoon of ginger extract and 1 teaspoon of honey in a small bowl. Then, gently massage this mixture into the skin under your eyes and let it sit for one hour.
Lastly, remove the honey and ginger mix with lukewarm water. This can be a great wrinkle-fighting treatment to do while you’re watching TV in the evening or reading in bed.

These seven treatments are great for getting rid of wrinkles under your eyes. But wrinkles don’t form there exclusively. They can also form around your mouth, on your forehead, and even on your neck and chest.
